About our school

Our Aims

Clarkson School's aims promote the philosophy of the school through a broad and balanced whole school curriculum. Through active partnership with parents there is a shared responsibility for children's education. We will:


~ Provide all children with equality of opportunity in all school activities regardless of gender,
ability, ethnic background or cultural differences
~ Provide a secure and stimulating environment within which children may freely explore and
develop
~ Integrate children with special needs and educate them as far as possible in the classroom
~ Ensure close liaison and co-operation with St. Peter's School in all matters.


Our teaching places emphasis on meeting children's needs and encouraging their abilities in terms of physical, intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, cultural and emotional development. We will achieve this by:


~ Promoting children's self-discipline and independence encouraging their curiosity and
pleasure in learning
~ Encouraging and developing the natural creativity of all children
~ Discovering children's aptitude and interests and helping them to extend their strengths and
overcome their weaknesses
~ Promoting community interest and involvement
~ Encouraging children to care for both school environment and wider world
~ Promoting good manners, courtesy and respect for other people and property through
partnership with parents

We aim to enable all children who attend Clarkson School to:

~ Fulfill their potential in all subjects, by achieving the highest attainable standard
~ Promote their own self-esteem
~ Develop their physical skills from larger body movements to finer hand control
~ Gain knowledge and understanding in Health Education
